Slack agent for site readiness

Ask Slack if the site can start tomorrow.

Site Ready connects Slack to The Site Book, checks project records and recent Slack context, then posts blockers, warnings, ready items and next actions in the thread.

How it works

One question becomes a readiness trail.

Ask from Slack

Mention Site Ready with the project name and the start date you care about.

Check Site Book records

The agent reads project readiness, documents, sign-offs, Site Access, credentials and share-link state.

Search recent Slack context

Slack context is classified into findings with source links, without storing raw message bodies.

Post the decision trail

You get blockers, warnings, ready items and action buttons in the Slack thread.

01Readiness checks

What it checks before tomorrow.

The agent uses the same readiness logic as the app. Slack adds recent site context, but The Site Book remains the source of truth for documents, sign-offs and audit evidence.

  • RAMS, CPP, COSHH, induction and toolbox talk readiness
  • Missing worker sign-offs and expired credentials
  • Site Access status for assigned workers, subcontractors and visitors
  • Open document reviews, RAMS review links and audit-pack availability
  • Recent Slack findings such as blocked access, changed scope or missing materials
  • Manager decision history for the project audit trail

Slack actions

Buttons that move the job forward.

Send sign-off links

Create or reuse sign-off links and send them back to the people who need to act.

Open RAMS review

Take the manager straight to the document that needs attention before work starts.

Create audit pack link

Generate a share link for the current evidence pack instead of searching through folders.

Refresh readiness

Re-run the check after documents, sign-offs or Slack context have changed.

Built for readiness, not legal safety claims.

Site Ready tells you what the records and Slack context show: green, amber or red; blockers and warnings; and the human review actions needed next. It does not certify that a site is legally safe.

Where it helps and where it doesn't

Pros

  • Ask from Slack whether a project can start tomorrow
  • Checks project readiness records, sign-offs, Site Access, credentials, share links and audit-pack status
  • Turns recent Slack context into structured blockers and warnings with source links
  • Creates follow-up actions such as sign-off reminder links and audit pack links

Cons

  • Slack workspace connection and approved app scopes are required before it can answer
  • MVP focuses on public-channel context available to the app, not private DMs
  • It reports readiness from available records; it does not make a legal safety decision

Slack Site Ready questions

Does Site Ready say a site is legally safe?

No. It reports readiness based on the available Site Book records and Slack context. Safety-critical changes, judgement calls and legal responsibility stay with the human manager.

Does The Site Book store Slack messages?

No raw Slack message bodies are stored by the Site Book readiness flow. Slack context is sanitized before AI classification, and the output is stored as structured findings with source links where available.

Which Slack channels can it search?

The launch version focuses on public-channel context available to the approved Slack app. Private-channel and DM coverage can be added later if the workspace explicitly approves those scopes.

Which plan do I need?

Slack Site Ready is available on Business and Site Control plans. Generic integrations such as Google Drive, Xero and Zapier stay on the normal Pro integrations gate.
