Built for construction
Whether you're a sole trader doing domestic kitchens or running a site with six subbies — here's what you need.
Pick your role. The Site Book shows you the documents, checks, and tools that actually matter for your job — nothing else.
What is CDM 2015?
CDM 2015 (the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015) is the main UK law governing health and safety on construction projects. It applies to virtually all construction work — including domestic extensions, loft conversions, and refurbishments — regardless of project size or whether the client is a homeowner or a business. The regulations set out clear duties for clients, designers, principal contractors, contractors, and workers, with the aim of reducing injuries, ill health, and fatalities on UK construction sites.
On domestic projects, the homeowner's CDM client duties transfer automatically to the contractor. This means that as a sole trader or small builder, you are responsible for producing a Construction Phase Plan, managing site safety, and maintaining appropriate records — even on a single-person job.
For Sole Traders & Small Builders
Professional safety docs without the corporate paperwork.
You do kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, loft conversions. You are often the only contractor on the job. CDM 2015 still applies to you — but you should not need a 50-page document pack to prove it. The Site Book gives you a Lightweight CPP that takes minutes, not hours. Describe your job, answer 4 simple questions, and your documents are created. Add RAMS for higher-risk activities, COSHH assessments for hazardous substances, and track worker certs — all from one place. Professional output that proves you have thought about safety — without drowning in forms. See what your documents will look like →
