Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 11 April 2026
The Site Book is committed to making our construction compliance software accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.
Our standards
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What we do
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone
- Touch targets — buttons and links have a minimum size of 44×44 pixels for ease of use on mobile devices
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA labels to support screen readers
- Responsive design — the site works across screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop monitors
- Form labels — all form fields have visible labels and clear error messages
- Skip links — a “skip to main content” link is available for keyboard users
- PDF documents — generated PDFs include readable text content (not scanned images)
Worker sign-off pages
Our worker sign-off flow (used by site workers on their phones) is designed to be as simple as possible — large text, clear buttons, and minimal steps. Workers do not need to create an account or install an app.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved and are actively working on them:
- Some older PDF templates may not be fully screen-reader optimised
- Complex data tables in the dashboard may be difficult to navigate with assistive technology on smaller screens
