Use the free toolbox talk library
Available on all plans
The toolbox talk library on our website is free to read, with no account needed. You can also open it from Toolbox Talks under Resources in the website footer.
Talks are grouped by topic, such as working at height, excavations and services, and health hazards. Click a topic in the list at the top of the page to jump to it. Trade pages list the talks that suit that trade, for example toolbox talks for roofers.
What's on a talk page
Each talk page shows the topic's wording from the app's toolbox talk library: Key points to cover, Do's and don'ts, and Questions to check understanding. Each answer stays hidden until you click Show the answer, so you can ask the crew first.
Below the questions, More toolbox talks links to other talks in the same group, and Related guides links to our longer guides on the topic. The Deliver it and collect signatures in the app box on each talk page names the topic as the app's library lists it, so you can find it there.
Deliver a talk in the app and collect signatures
Toolbox talks in the app are on Pro and above. The full guide is run toolbox talks and collect signatures.
Open your project's Documents tab on the website and click New Toolbox Talk.
Select Topic: search the library for the topic.
Use the name shown in the talk page's Deliver it and collect signatures in the app box.
Review Content: check the key points, do's, don'ts and questions for your job.
The wizard tailors the content to your project, so it can differ from the website wording. Edit anything that doesn't fit your site.
Fill in Who's delivering this talk?, the delivery date and duration, then click Create Toolbox Talk.
On the talk's page, click Collect Signatures.
The deliverer signs first, then each attendee. Someone missing? Use Share link for remote attendees, or let them sign through the crew link.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to read the toolbox talk library?
No. The toolbox talk library on our website is free to read without signing in. To deliver a talk in the app and collect signatures, you need an account on Pro or above.
Can I change a talk for my site?
Not on the website. In the app, the Review Content step of the toolbox talk wizard lets you edit the key points, do's, don'ts and questions before you click Create Toolbox Talk.
Why does the app have more topics than the website?
The website shows a selection of the app's library topics. In the app you can pick from the whole library, or write your own custom topic.
