Set up the entrance

   On the Access tab, find Site entrance QR and click Create QR.

   On a phone, the Jump to section button at the top of the page jumps straight to Site entrance QR, Gate sign-in policy or Self-join requests.

   Click Print poster to build a print-ready entrance poster.

   Or Copy link / Open to use the URL directly. Regenerate and Disable control the token.

What the contractor does

They scan the QR on their phone: new people send their name, company, CSCS card number and a photo of the card, and must tick the induction acknowledgement before Contractor check in unlocks. Depending on your policy they're checked in immediately (CSCS verified after) or held for review. Returning workers should use their remembered device or portal sign-in; a new request matching an existing worker is held for manager review.

On a remembered browser, check the displayed name before tapping Check in or Check out. Choose Not you? Sign in as someone else on a shared device; this also clears pending offline attendance for every entrance on that browser. If the remembered worker has changed since a page was opened, refresh before trying again.

A browser can remember you for up to 90 days from choosing to remember it. You may need to remember it again after that. When a connection fails, a queued tap belongs only to the worker and entrance shown when it was made. Unverified taps saved by an older page are discarded; open the current entrance page and check your attendance before trying again.

If the gate reports that browser storage is unavailable, enable storage for this site and refresh. A tap that could not be saved offline is not reported as queued; check your attendance on the refreshed page before trying again.

The gate keeps your latest tap. If an earlier tap from the same browser arrives late — for example from a second tab that was slow to connect — it is refused rather than applied, and the page shows That tap was superseded by a newer one. The button then shows your current attendance; check it and tap again if it is not what you intended.

Review join requests

Pending requests appear under Self-join requests on the Access tab — each shows the CSCS number and, when supplied, the uploaded file's original name beside Open CSCS upload, plus Approve / Reject buttons. Approved contractors join the project's portal users and their check-ins flow into attendance.
