Generate RAMS
Available on all plans
Open your project, go to the Documents tab and start RAMS generation. The wizard asks about the job, the site, who's working, what you're doing and what could go wrong — then generates the risk assessments and method statement together.
Before you start
The wizard checks a few things are in place first: your company details (Settings), your CPP if you're running the job, and the project's site safety details. If something's missing it takes you there and brings you back.
Walk the wizard
About the job and About the site — confirm the basics.
Most of this is pre-filled from your project; check it rather than retype it.
Who's working — confirm the crew on this job.
What you're doing — build the Sequence of Works.
Add at least one task: this becomes your method statement, so a RAMS can't generate without it.
What could go wrong — review the hazards and controls.
The AI suggests hazards from your job description; add your own where you know better.
Review & Suggestions — check the draft, fix anything flagged, and generate.
If your project uses COSHH substances, a COSHH step appears before review.
After generating
Open the document to see its specificity score, Download the PDF, or Share a read-only link. To collect crew signatures against it (Business and above), switch on RAMS sign-off from the project's Access tab — the RAMS sign-off setting, tick Required — then use the crew sign-off link; check progress on the Worker Sign-Off panel.
Remember: a generated document is a frozen snapshot. If you change project details afterwards, regenerate the RAMS so the PDF matches — workers then re-sign the new version.
Frequently asked questions
Why is it sending me to the CPP first?
When you're running the job, your Construction Phase Plan needs to exist before RAMS — the RAMS draws on it. Generate the CPP from the Documents tab first, then come back.
What's the score on my finished RAMS?
Every document gets a site-specificity score out of 100. Above 70 shows as "Tailored to your site"; lower scores list concrete suggestions — vague phrases like "appropriate PPE", missing site details, weak controls — with a Re-check button once you've tightened them.
Can workers sign the RAMS digitally?
Yes, on Business and above — turn on RAMS sign-off from the project's Access tab (the "RAMS sign-off" setting, tick "Required") and every worker gets it in their crew-link portal alongside inductions and toolbox talks.
Is RAMS generation on the free plan?
Yes. RAMS, CPPs and site inductions are all included on Starter's free project.
